Family Horse Ranch takes the responsibility to care for your horse very seriously and welcomes the opportunity.
Equines are on a paste worming rotation every 6-8 weeks. New horses are wormed immediately upon arrival. Western/Eastern Flu, Tetanus & West Nile Virus inoculations are administered in the spring and or the fall. This will be performed & billed automatically to any horse boarded unless the owner instructs otherwise. Negative Coggins & good health is required for all equines entering the premise.

Horseback Riding at the Ranch is Fun and AffordableFor those only looking for a half an hour of riding fun, we offer an introductory riding evaluation for $20.00.First Timers: After acquiring the suitable gear, the staff will guide the horse by hand to either the riding arena or the trails and help you up onto the horse. Sometimes a simple walk with guidance from your trainer is suitable, for more comfortable riders, we can begin to trot, lead, or whatever else feels natural. Our trainers are very helpful –highly professional (knowlegeable and adaptable); whose goal is to make your ride both safe and enjoyable.

Locals: Enjoy the same offerings as a visitor however, we make it even more more affordable by giving you and your children the opportunity to ride more often by joining our very own FHRR of St. Augustine Horseback Riding Club
Parents, bring your kids by for their first horseback riding lesson for only $35.00. The cost is for 1 hour of riding. They will receive instruction by one of our all-star trainers (limit 5 riders per hour).
Before your first horseback ride with us, we’ll have you fill out a short form. Next, staff will have you get up close and personal with your horse. This can be best done by a quick grooming (pet the horse and give it a quick brush!) and a brief overview, covering the horse chosen for your ride and things to do or not to do to ensure the best riding experience.
